Søborg
The garden designer Bonnie Hall's own allotment garden in Søborg, on the northern edge of Copenhagen: a 365 square metre plot she bought in 2014 and rebuilt from bare ground into a dense planted garden in about three years, and has kept reworking since. The sandstone path in the picture is laid from stone left over when she built a new garden house on the plot.
The pavers are LITHOS sandstone in the colour dark, a long narrow 10 by 42 centimetre format; the post the picture comes from was a giveaway of the leftover stone, declared as advertising for the stone seller. Hall teaches her garden design courses inside the garden house.
Bonnie Hall, Rum i Haven
Bonnie Hall is a Danish garden designer who founded her practice, Rum i Haven Havedesign, in 2016. She works around Copenhagen and North Zealand on garden consultations, sketches and full plans, says she has visited or designed around a thousand gardens, and runs courses from her own allotment garden.
