The Poltrona Mia is a lounge armchair by the Brazilian designer Jader Almeida, made by Sollos: a sculpted timber arm sweeping from beside the rounded upholstered back down into the front leg, a loose cushion in the frame. The MIA collection launched in São Paulo in 2016, dining chairs, a home office chair and this armchair.
The room is a private home by GMC Arquitetura, the chairs supplied from the ARQUIVO Ipanema shop in Rio de Janeiro.
Jader Almeida is a Brazilian designer, born in Santa Catarina, who started in design at sixteen and has run his line for more than two decades. The JADERALMEIDA brand is manufactured by Sollos, a furniture maker at Princesa in Santa Catarina that has built its business around design since 2004, with showrooms across Brazil and in the United States.
