Point Lonsdale
A new house of 125 square metres in Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula, compact and built to a high sustainability standard, under what the practice calls a simple mid century roof, with exterior materials chosen to recede into a landscape still growing in around it. Round stepping stones run through gravel and native planting to the door.
Stonehouse + Irons Architecture publishes the house as Point Lonsdale V, one of a numbered run of its houses in the town, and MJS Built of the Bellarine built it.

Stonehouse + Irons Architecture is Kim Irons and Brett Stonehouse, practising since 2006 from studios in Point Lonsdale and Barwon Heads, formerly as Iron's McDuff Architecture.
