A white motorcycle in side view on a plain pale grey ground, with a fairing, a single seat and red bands on the nose and tail.

A second concept motorcycle imagined with AI by An Improbable Future, an anonymous speculative design studio that explores, in its own words, the intersection of design and generative AI: a single image made, by the maker's own account of its method, in Midjourney, posted in November 2022 under the caption Personal Transport, the label the studio reuses across its vehicles, with no title, no client and nothing built. It is the earliest of the studio's four images in this library, seven months before the black machine. In the maker's words on the practice as a whole: "I think that revisiting and reinterpreting the past is an essential aspect of product design and fashion. As technology improves, it allows us to view old ideas in a new light, and it gives a sense of familiarity."

The card is the post's single image: the white machine in full side view on a pale grey ground, a bullet nose cowl with a clear screen and a red band at its tip, a matching tail with its own red band, a single seat between them, a chromed cluster in the fairing mouth and an engine of jumbled parts below the tank, white spoked wheels and the side stand down; the lettering on the tank and the silencer is garbled, the AI's usual tell.

An Improbable Future

An Improbable Future is a speculative design studio that explores, in its own words, the intersection of design and generative AI, its Instagram given to industrial and transportation design of the future influenced by the past, designed by AI and curated by an owner who stays anonymous. Its black concept motorcycle and two Sony-marked devices are also in this library.
