A concept device imagined with AI by An Improbable Future, an anonymous speculative design studio that explores, in its own words, the intersection of design and generative AI: a single image made, by the maker's own account of its method, in Midjourney, posted in October 2023 under the one word caption Device, with no title, no client and nothing built. It wears Sony's wordmark, but no source connects Sony to it; the maker generated the image, and its bio calls the work industrial and transportation design of the future, influenced by the past. What the thing does, what it is made of and how big it is are not said anywhere, and beyond that one word the maker has said nothing about it.
