Mallorca
A meadow planting on Mallorca by Mashamba Design, in the style the studio calls prairie like gardens: layered perennials and ornamental grasses built to move, Mexican feather grass rustling through lavender with the tall blue spires of echium behind. The studio shows this photograph as a picture of the style rather than of any named garden: a stipa and echium meadow.
Mashamba works only on Mallorca, on private gardens, with the studio on site through the build.

Mashamba Design is a garden and terrace design studio founded on Mallorca in 2008 by Alexander and Jennifer Warren-Gash. It works exclusively on the island, from design to planting, and publishes its gardens in four named portfolios alongside style essays like the one this picture comes from.
