Madrid, Spain
This is a private apartment in the historic heart of Madrid, fitted out by the Copenhagen kitchen maker Vermland and photographed for its own site and its post of May 2026. Vermland made the kitchen in natural oiled oak, its VOLI design, with an island that shows open drawer details and brass accents, and a custom wardrobe with oak frames and fluted glass fronts elsewhere in the flat. The maker frames the whole as soft mineral surfaces, natural oak and warm light, and says: "The apartment reflects a careful balance between Scandinavian restraint and the architectural character of Madrid". Nobody else is credited: no architect, builder, stylist or photographer is named on any published page.
The card is the first frame of the post and the same photograph sits on Vermland's own project page: the island seen from its reeded end on slim brass feet, a pale stone top, a striped runner on large pale floor tiles, a conical pendant on a long cord, and the oak run at right with a brass tap, an undermount sink and an induction hob under a tall oak cabinet block. Vermland's own line on the kitchen: "The result is a kitchen that feels quiet, timeless, and made to age beautifully with everyday use."

Vermland is a Copenhagen kitchen maker founded by the cabinetmakers Joakim Tolf Vulpius and Anton Bak and registered as a company in 2016; its kitchens are made in Denmark and delivered worldwide. Its Tisvilde and Bornholm kitchens are also in this library.
