The Linna Armchair is a 2009 design by the Brazilian designer Jader Almeida, still in production and sold by region: a solid wood frame, the floating back shell a natural wood veneer, the seat upholstered in fabric or leather. It is shown in walnut with a black leather seat, and his catalogue sells it today as the Linna Lounge Chair.
In 2010 it took a silver IDEA award from the Industrial Designers Society of America, filed under home and living. Almeida calls the design a revisiting of period elements, its best definition, in his words, timelessness.
Jader Almeida is a Brazilian designer, born in Santa Catarina, who started in design at sixteen and has run his line for more than two decades. The JADERALMEIDA brand is manufactured by Sollos, a furniture maker at Princesa in Santa Catarina that has built its business around design since 2004, with showrooms across Brazil and in the United States.
