Il lago è fermo

Il lago è fermo is a 2015 painting by the Italian artist Jessica Rimondi, from her series Everyday Epiphanies, started in 2014 and worked from photos taken fortuitously in daily situations, aiming, in her words, to highlight the hidden beauty in the mundane.

It is mixed media on wood, 100 by 70 centimetres, made with what she calls a Sensorial Process: a layering of traditional oil painting, flat acrylic backgrounds and drawing on the panel.
