Garden Kitchen is Sustainable Kitchens' name for a bespoke kitchen it designed and made for a London house, photographed by Leighton James, who works as The Property Photographer. The maker opens its own account of it with: "Step into the Garden Kitchen, a vibrant London sanctuary that effortlessly bridges the gap between the garden and home." Deep green painted cabinets with oak-backed handles sit on birch plywood carcasses under Corian Salt worktops. A wall of reeded glass oak cabinets and solid oak floating shelves faces them, and an eight-foot oak shelving unit runs into bespoke bench seating. The doors are painted in Puck by Little Greene and the other painted work in Caste by Paint & Paper.

The card looks down the length of the long white island to the glazing and the garden beyond, under a rectangular skylight, with the green run and its stainless range cooker on the right, the reeded glass oak cabinets above, a hanging plant shelf on black rods and a herringbone parquet floor. In the maker's words: "A feature wall of reeded glass oak cabinets, complemented by solid oak floating shelves, creates an open, airy feel, adding both visual interest and functional elegance to the space."

Sustainable Kitchens designs and makes bespoke kitchens. It began in a small Bristol workshop in 2008 under its founder Sam Shaw, and now also has a London studio.
