St Kilda East
The garden of a renovated mid century house in St Kilda East, designed by Plume Studio and built by Complete Landscape Solutions, which still maintains it. The stone underfoot is the house's own, lifted from the original mid century home and relaid as steppers linking the garden's areas.
The house is Balmoral Mid Century, architect Tecture's renovation, and the garden was made in 2020 to bolster the style of the house, the old set against the new. The pale slatted bench in the picture sits against the property's white corrugated boundary fence, easy to misread as a building wall. The photograph is Sarah Pannell's.
