Cotswolds
Spring tulips in a Cotswolds garden, a dry stone wall behind them with its coping stones set upright in the Cotswold way. The photograph is Marcus Barnett Studio's own post, captioned simply "Heavenly tulips in the Cotswolds".
Which garden this is, the studio never says, and whether it designed the planting or only photographed it stays open; the picture stands as the studio's own spring postcard from the Cotswolds.
Marcus Barnett Studio is a landscape architecture and garden design practice established in 2004, with its main studio in west London, a satellite at Overton in Hampshire and a team of ten to twelve landscape architects and designers. Founder Marcus Barnett trained at the Inchbald School of Garden Design after seven years as an Army officer, and has made five Chelsea gardens.
