Cadeira Mia

The Cadeira Mia is a 2016 chair by the Brazilian designer Jader Almeida, its sculpted arms curving down to become the front legs beneath a fully upholstered seat and back, made by machine and finished by hand.

In 2017 it won an iF Design Award in Product Design, Home Furniture: design by Jader Almeida Design and Architecture of Florianopolis, manufacture by Sollos of Princesa, a structure of medium density solid wood with brass supports.

Jader Almeida is a Brazilian designer, born in Santa Catarina, who started in design at sixteen and has run his line for more than two decades. The JADERALMEIDA brand is manufactured by Sollos, a furniture maker at Princesa in Santa Catarina that has built its business around design since 2004, with showrooms across Brazil and in the United States.
