Buckinghamshire Walled Garden

Buckinghamshire

A Victorian walled kitchen garden in Buckinghamshire turned into an ornamental garden with a modern country feel, at a converted stable range under a clock turret and weathervane. Joanna Archer designed the transformation; the bespoke ironwork arch and espalier dividing the space were sketched by her studio and forged by McKellars Ironwork at their Herefordshire forge, and J&S Scapes built the landscaping.

Wide gravel paths echo the old wheelbarrow routes, a vast terracotta urn anchors the parterre, roses and lavender around the new arch. The post's second frame shows the same range mid conversion, stripped back to rubble stone and brick piers with the clock turret already in place.
