Åsgården
Blentarp, Sweden
The private garden of Stefan Sundblad, a landscape architect, and Maria Josephsson at Åsgården, an 1886 property in Blentarp in Skåne that they bought in 2014. The Swedish Horticultural Society, which lists it among its visitor gardens, describes a garden in dialogue with the landscape around it, a strong spatial structure weaving open expanses and enclosed nooks, planted in naturalistic, painterly compositions.
It was the cover story of the first issue of Lantliv Trädgård, the magazine's garden edition, in 2024, with words and pictures by Anna Örnberg. The name means roughly the ridge farm.
